The VLC for Windows Phone update that was supposed to come out, is now live. The update brings some UI changes, new features and fixes. The sidebar menu is gone and there are some changes in the bottom bar option. The background music play still doesn’t work, though.

VLC app for Windows Phone was released to Beta testers on December 5, but it came with a nasty audio bug, which was fixed in the first update. The app still can’t play music when sent to background, though the dev has confirmed in a tweet that music will soon work in background.
