The 5G capable Nokia 8.2 that we exclusively reported about coming with a 64MP camera may be powered by Snapdragon 735 processor. A tip received by us from a tipster who wants to remain anonymous claims this. Qualcomm has yet to make the Snapdragon 735 processor official but there have been some leaks related to it apparently.
Talking about its Snapdragon 7XX processor with 5G support, Qualcomm had revealed that it will be based on 7nm platform. It will bring next-gen AI Engine, gaming and other premium features to the affordable category. But now with this tip, we have a name for this processor.
The tip further claims that Nokia 8.2 will be available in three memory and storage variants.
- 4GB RAM/64GB storage
- 6GB RAM/128GB storage
- 8GB RAM/256GB storage
We can’t really vouch for the authenticity of this tip as it is not from our trusted sources. But Snapdragon 735 has been leaked in the past too by other sources, so it has a good probability of coming true.
The 4GB/6GB RAM variants are pretty much possible again but the 8GB RAM variant will be a first for HMD, as so far HMD hasn’t crossed the 6GB RAM bar for its smartphones.
The Nokia value flagship will be priced around $500, if we consider what Juho hinted at in the interview. Talking about the Snapdragon 7XX processor with 5G support Qualcomm revealed that it will be based on 7nm platform. It will bring next-gen AI Engine, gaming and other premium features to the affordable category.
