While it is well known that HMD will bring a 5G Nokia smartphone in 2019, no concrete information has emerged ever since this was reported in early 2019. Now, our sources in retail, who have again proved themselves with some accurate information about Nokia 2.2 have some interesting information to share about 5G Nokia smartphone future.

As per the information shared with us which is preliminary in nature, there are two 5G Nokia smartphones in works currently. One is the flagship 5G smartphone powered by the top processor Snapdragon 855 while the second one is termed to be the value flagship and may be powered by a new Snapdragon 7XX processor.

Currently, the value flagship tag is attached to Nokia 8.1, so maybe it is the Nokia 8.2 that we have just heard about from our sources apart from the Nokia 9 PureView successor or something else.

Coming to when we can expect these smartphones to hit the market, sources give a tentative end of the Q3 timeline for the flagship. That is when everything goes alright in terms of testing and feedback. Even if HMD manages to pull off the beginning of the Q4 timeline it will be a big deal, given how late they have been with launch-to-markets timelines for all Nokia flagships.
