According to a report, Vodafone India may entrust NSN with not only supply of telecom equipments to upgrade its corporate business infrastructure but also will ask it to manage its corporate customer business. This deal is worth $150 million and seems very much given.

Vodafone India is likely to soon ask Finland’s Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) to manage its countrywide enterprise or “corporate customer” business in a deal which could be worth over $150 million (aboutRs 920 crore), two people with direct knowledge told ET. NSN India has emerged as “the frontrunner” for supplying telecom gear and also handling the managed services mandate for three years for Vodafone India, the people said.
A very different face of NSN is emerging nowadays with deals like these, where the company is not only a equipment provider but also is winning solutions delivery and managed services deals. This puts it into direct competition with biggies like IBM and it is delivering on this front too. This is really good evolution of NSN as we know it!!
Also, this deal is in addition to a $200 million deal NSN is tipped to win from Vodafone.
This deal would be in addition to the $200 million (Rs 1,340 crore) contract that NSN India is tipped to shortly bag from Vodafone India for upgrading its 2G and 3G networks.
