Brand Finance has declared Nokia the most valuable brand in Finland in a report that highlights Finland’s 25 top brands for the year 2020. Nokia has achieved this feat for the 5th consecutive year.
The report has put Nokia’s valuation at €8.9 billion and also ranks Nokia as the 4th most valuable brand in the Nordic region.
Nokia rings in again as Finland’s most valuable brand
In a newly expanded ranking that showcases Finland’s top 25 most valuable brands, Nokia has claimed the title of Finland’s most valuable brand for the 5th consecutive year. The telecoms giant is also the 4th most valuable brand in the entire Nordic region.
Despite only recording a marginal 1% increase in brand value to €8.9 billion, the brand’s investments in cutting-edge 5G technology are expected to continue to pay off in coming years, putting Nokia in a prime position to compete with its peers. The brand has cited supply chain issues in China and other parts of Asia as a reason for a dip in sales in Q1 2020. However, the brand also witnessed a massive increase in network capacity demands.
The report while highlighting the struggle that Nokia has faced recently because of the supply chain issues in China expects a prime position for Nokia on the strength of its investment in cutting-edge 5G technology research.
