A FAQ recently discovered on the Nokia’s support website talks about the Glance Screen and gives us answers to some of our questions. The FAQ apparently confirms that the Nokia Glance Screen will be delivered to all WP8 Lumia devices besides the 520 and 521 (did I say all? :P) via the Nokia Amber update which is coming this August. The reason behind this is blamed to be certain hardware limitations, but what exactly is missing in the hardware is still unknown. However for the qualified devices, Nokia Glance Screen will be delivered via a Display+touch app update once the Nokia Amber update is installed.
This however doesn’t surprise a lot if we look at the price at which the 520 retails, but after all who doesn’t look for new functionality on their phones? Sorry 520 buyers, you’re missed this time.
