Nokia Mobile may be planning to launch successor to its mid-range smartphone Nokia G21 soon. A listing at Benchmarking site Geekbench features Nokia G22, its first-ever leak anywhere. The listing also hints a new processor powering Nokia G22 that may be the Unisoc T612 processor.

Check the screenshot of the Geekbench listing that has “HMD Global Nokia G22” as model. The motherboard is “Sunfire” which is different from the “ShadowcatPlus” motherboard of Nokia G21. So, Nokia G22 won’t feature the Unisoc T606 processor that powers Nokia G21.

Most probably we are looking at the Unisoc T612 processor that has support for more powerful cameras. Nokia G22 being the successor to Nokia G21 is obviously expected to feature a more powerful processor.

The screenshot also reveals 4GB RAM and Mali G57 GPU, which is paired with both Unisoc T606 and T612 processors. Android 12 OS is however surprising and may be only for the testing purposes.

Thanks DrNokia for the tip. Cheers!
