Nokia has joined 86 other companies in stepping up with its commitment to limit global warming to a maximum of 1.5°C. Nokia CEO Rajiv Suri has announced prioritization of practices, products, and services to meet emission reduction targets.
We are speeding up our commitments and re-calculating our emissions targets to be in line with that new 1.5° limit.
Based on that fact, Nokia is prioritizing practices, products and services that minimize negative environmental impact and maximize the efficient use of resources, both for us and for our customers.
In other words, we are committing to doing all we can to meet that 1.5° limit.
Nokia was also among the first 100 companies to commit to reducing emissions in line with the landmark Paris climate agreement in the year 2017. Nokia’s focus on pushing 5G solutions also in line with making technology greener as 5G is considered to be more energy-efficient. You can read more here.
