Nokia as an organization places very high value on principles like gender equality. It has always been on forefront of such initiatives that show its resolve to eliminate disparity at work place between genders. Recently Nokia CEO Reajeev Suri signed the “Women’s Empowerment Principles” and posted about it on LinkedIn.
At Nokia, our ambition is to have a gender balance that reflects the world around us. Achieving that ambition will require the skills of policymakers and the active engagement of societies to build a long-term talent pipeline by helping to bring more women into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and the commitment of leaders and managers everywhere.
I signed the Women’s Empowerment Principles, knowing that Nokia is committed to doing its part to eliminate the disparity in technology companies between men and women. Doing so is not just good business, it is also the right thing to do.
