This is targeted towards accelerating app development for Lumia smartphones and Windows Phone 8 operating system. AppCampus and HBS Alumni Angels will invest $500,000 in this initiative to provide grants, seed funding, mentoring and incubation startups to develop future disruptive applications. The program will also involve creative ideas from Nokia’s consumer app show – Your Wish Is My App, as well as other local players.

Speaking at a press conference here, Gerard Rego, director of developer experience in Nokia India, said the aim was to support Indian app developers to drive path-breaking innovation on Nokia’s platform. “We believe this will open up countless opportunities to shape the mobile app ecosystem here,” he said.
