HMD Global today confirms that ARCore support is coming to Nokia 8. The feature will be unlocked via a software update which will roll out sometime this year. We have previously reported on ARCore support for Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 7 Plus. Now it seems that Nokia 8 is also getting ready to rock n roll with ARCore. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global confirmed the news on Twitter.

Nokia 8 was first introduced on 16 August 2017 in London, England. It is almost a year now and we are hearing the news from the Chief Product Manager himself. But there is a caveat here. We don’t know the exact date like when the feature update will be available for download. Juho Sarvikas says soon, means that we can expect sometime

This is indeed a great news for all the fans out there. Although it might seem quite obvious to many of you, getting an update that unlocks new capabilities have always been a matter of discussion.
