Nokia 8 Glance Screen & Double tap to wake up hands-on

Nokia 8, the affordable flagship from HMD brings two much-demanded features back to Nokia smartphones. We are talking about Glance Screen and Double tap to wake up features which Nokia fans were missing on other Nokia Android smartphones.

In this video, we do hands-on with these two features on Nokia 8. We also learn how to change Glance screen settings. Nokia 8 comes with LCD display and thus the Glance screen feature implementation is different from what you have seen on Lumias with AMOLED displays.

Will it also have NOKIA 7? Well thank you.

Just a few apps now can use the Glance screen for notification. Now you can miss notifications from apps like Facebook and a lot of orthers if you walk away from your phone, because there is also no LED notification. So I think there is work to do for Nokia.

Lumia 1520 was IPS LCD with a much better implementation of glance screen. Somehow they were able to execute the feature well with that. Not sure what’s limiting them with Nokia 8.
