HMD launched Nokia 5.3 and 8.3 5G recently and what fans were quick to notice is the lack of “Android One” branding on the back of all three. This gave rise to speculation about Nokia smartphones not being part of the Android One family anymore.
But it is just that, speculation because if you go to the official Nokia 5.3 and 8.3 pages you will quickly notice that HMD clearly mentions them to be part of Android One. You can check the feature image above for Nokia 8.3 5G.
Now, coming to why HMD decided to remove the Android One logo from the back of the new Nokia smartphones, CPO Juho has offered an explanation. He clarifies that it has been done to keep the design visually clean.
Yep, Android One. We are just not doing hardware branding to keep design visually cleaner. All good here.

So, there we are. It is good to see only Nokia branding on the phones for a refreshing change.
