HMD announced smartphone Nokia 8.3 5G, 5.3 and 1.3 and a re-born classic Nokia 5310 on March 19 in an online-only event. Now, fans are speculating about the availability and arrival of these smartphones in various markets.
Coming to the Indian market, it seems HMD is planning to skip on Nokia 8.3 or may launch it late as it did in the case of Nokia 9 PureView. It may not launch Nokia 1.3 as it did in the case of Nokia 1 Plus.
What gives rise to this speculation is the fact that only Nokia 5.3 and 5310 have been listed at the official Nokia Mobile site in India. There are no signs of Nokia 1.3 and 8.3 and that is an ominous sign. Coming to recent iterations, HMD never listed Nokia 2720 Flip and Nokia 220 4G in India and never launched them in India too.
Nokia 8.3 5G and Nokia 1.3 have been listed already at the official Nokia Mobile sites in the UK and major European markets including Germany. That clearly shows that HMD is treating European markets as the priority market for Nokia 8.3 5G, given these markets already have seen the first deployment of the 5G networks and it is progressing rapidly. India has so far not seen the deployment of 5G network by any of the carriers.
