We have tested the general performance of the Nokia 5 in this Hands-on video. In line with our coverage of other Nokia Android Phones, we have conducted this test in heavy usage scenario. This means one may be browsing, playing games and multitasking with many tabs, games, and apps open in the background.

Nokia 5 comes running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. It is powered by Snapdragon 430 the same processor that powers Nokia 6 too. The only difference is with 2GB RAM vs 3GB RAM on Nokia 6. So, how does Nokia 5 actually perform? You can decide for yourself by checking the video.

With 2 games (Sniper 3D, Asphalt 8 Airborne), 20 browser tabs, Camera, and 3-4 other apps open in the background it handles all well. As you will notice in the video, apps/games resume fast from background during multitasking and there are no crashes/lags/freezes even with so much load.

We can tell you that Nokia 6 with 3GB RAM feels slightly better than Nokia 5 (expectedly) when you increase the load even more. But then Nokia 5 is certainly impressive with how it can multitask with so many processes running in the background.
