Nokia 3310 4G (TA-1077) to come with YunOS. Images revealed via Tenna certification

We earlier reported a report from a trusted source that Nokia 3310 4G along with Nokia 6 2018 may be launched in January. We also reported about a certain TA-1077 passing a Chinese certification. Now, the TA-1077 has appeared on Tenna revealing that it is the 4G version of Nokia 3310. Check the Tenna images of the test device below.

Nokia 3310 4G looks similar to the new Nokia 3310 and Nokia 3310 3G versions design wise. There is, however, one surprising information that the certification reveals about Nokia 3310 4G. It seems that it will come with YunOS, an operating system developed by Alibaba by forking Android open source project (AOSP). As per its official site,

YunOS is a cloud-based, data and service oriented IoT operating system developed by Alibaba Group. It has high compatibility and scalability and is suitable for a wide range of IoT devices including smart phones, Internet cars, Internet TVs, smart home, smart wearable smart terminals, as well as chips and sensors.

Alibaba claims that activation number of devices running YunOS have crossed 157 million as of May 2017.

Nokia should change the design of new feature phone, make design of Nokia 210.

I think YunOS it’s just meant for the Chinese market… can’t be anything else. It wouldn’t be bad if Nokia would choose to support and use the new KaiOS which is born from the ashes of Firefox OS and it’s pretty perfect for the new coming smart-feature-phones.

Hey, Nokia! This device still needs WiFi. It needed it in 2004 and it still needs it in 2017. (For whatever reason, Nokia regularly left a WiFi radio off their feature phones. Which is a mystery because with good WiFi coverage you can skip a data plan – a reason people like feature phones.)

Presumably the 4G 3310 would require a better chipset and more RAM. Sounds interesting to have a smarter version. Would it run WhatsApp?

      well it should be
otherwise theres no point to put a better os
a modified version of s30 would do

I think s30+ on the 2g version is more responsive than the the Java OS on the 3g version. Though the Java OS has more functionality.
