When we reached to HMD regarding Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Nokia 3 we only came to know that it would be “coming soon”. But now we have some better and concrete timeline to look forward to thanks to a tweet by Juho Savikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global.
Juho took Twitter to confirm that Nokia 3 will receive Android 7.1.1 Nougat by end of August. So there is still one month to go before Nokia 3 owners can expect it to receive Android 7.1.1.
Got a few questions on this so wanted to confirm that #Nokia3 will receive 7.1.1 update by end of August. @nokiamobile

HMD has already promised minimum two years of OS update support for its Android smartphones. But the delay in Nokia 3 getting Android 7.1.1 is squarely blamed on MediaTek, that people claim is slow in proving updated drivers for Android updates.
Coming to what Android 7.1.1 brings over Android 7.0, you can refer to the official changelog posted by Google.
