Nokia 2 Oreo Beta concluded, official update soon to be available as “optional download”

HMD has today sent mails to the Nokia 2 Oreo 8.1 Beta users who helped them in fine tuning Android Oreo 8.1 update.

Thank you for being part of the Android™ 8.1 Oreo™ Nokia phones beta labs program with your Nokia 2 device. Thanks to your valuable feedback, the official release will soon be ready and available as an optional download. At that point, we’ll send you a link to the download page – as your Nokia 2 is already validated in beta labs, you won’t have to register the device again.

The mail re-confirms that very soon Oreo 8.1 official update for Nokia 2 will be available as optional download. HMD as announced earlier is willing to provide two options to Nokia 2 users, either remain on Nougat and enjoy the optimized performance or move to Oreo that will bring new features but may not be as fluid as Nougat.

If one wants to still go with Oreo option HMD will provide this option via a web page. Nokia 2 Beta users won’t need to register again to download the official Oreo 8.1 release.
