Nokia 2.2 gets a new Pie Build & White Balance feature with June Security update 2019

After Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 3.2, Nokia 2.2 has also started receiving a new Android Pie build but with the June security update 2019. The new Android Pie build is V1.390. For all software update news related to other Nokia smartphones click here.

Nokia 2.2 update size:

The update for Nokia 2.2 is 288.8 MB in size. You will either be prompted to download this update or you can check by going to Settings and searching system updates and then by checking for the update.

Nokia 2.2 Pie + June Security update changelog:

The changelog mentions improved system stability, UI enhancements, and the June Android Security update. Nokia 2.2 Display settings get a new “White Balance” option just like Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2. If you tap on the White Balance option and enter the next screen you will notice that color warmth can be adjusted to a more or less saturated color display option. In case you are not happy with your new adjusted setting you can reset back to the original Factory shipped color warmth.

The most severe of the issues covered under June Security patch is a critical security vulnerability in Media framework that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.
