Nokia 1 getting new Oreo 8.1 build with March Security update

HMD has started pushing a new Android Oreo 8.1 build with the March security update to Nokia 1 today. The new Android Oreo 8.1 build is V1.550. For all software update news related to other Nokia smartphones click here.

Nokia 1 update:

The update for Nokia 1 is 816.4 MB in size. You will either be prompted to download this update or you can check by going to Settings and searching system updates and then by checking for the update.

Nokia 1 Plus Oreo + March Security update changelog:

The changelog mentions improved system stability and the March Android Security update. The March security patch brings fix for many security issues. The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in Media framework that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.

HMD has been quite consistent in terms of releasing Monthly Security updates and OS updates for Nokia smartphones already available in the market. HMD has also made it clear that all Nokia Android Phones will receive minimum two years of OS update support.
