N Series Nokia Android rumor began with a Brand application screenshot dated 2006

We reported about rumors originating in China about a mid-ranger Nokia Android Phone that will come with N-Series moniker. Confusing as this rumor was, we now think it was just fueled by a brand application screenshot and some wishful thinking.

The band-application screenshot of NSeries is dated 2006, but was posted on Weibo and claimed to be some proof of HMD’s intentions to bring a N-Series Phone. As it always happens this was later mixed with some wishful thinking and propagated.

Now, the source who sent us this screenshot claimed that HMD is not planning to launch any N-Series smartphone in future. The Nokia 6 naming may be a good example of what to expect.

We reached to HMD communications team but we got the standard PR reply of “we don’t comment on rumors and speculations”

Ads are essential to such independent blogs like this one. You got no popups (which I hate the most) so it’s not that bad.
