Microsoft (re)confirms Windows 10 for Phones for 512 MB devices including Lumia 520 with the known caveat

Well, just some days ago I had a somewhat heated conversation over “the fail” in making the claim that all Windows Phone 8 devices will be upgradable to Windows 10. Yes, we were first to break that news and now Microsoft has “reconfirmed” that it is the case, though there is a caveat and it won’t support all the features of Windows 10. That’s not surprising though and we told you so.

Joe Belfiore in a series of tweets has also talked about the “internal testing going on” and “not all devices will get the first Window 10 for Phones preview.

Also, we’re on track for Insider build coming “in Feb” as Terry said at our 1/21 event. We need to complete internal testing 1st, hang in!
