Lumia 920 and 820 has passed Bluetooth 4 certification at the Bluetooth SIG. This is contrary to the listed specs for both at the Nokia’s official website, where it is listed as Bluetooth 3.1 only.

Bluetooth 4.0 includes a new Bluetooth tech called Bluetooth Smart or Low Energy. If you remember our post about Nokia’s upcoming “Indoor Navigation” then you may be able to recall, “Nokia’s High Accuracy Indoor Positioning (HAIP) is based on Bluetooth low energy”.

So, it all makes sense now. Bluetooth 3.1 was looking bit behind the competition which usually have packed Bluetooth 4.0 in their flagships. So, it is good news for specs lovers and  for those as well, who would love to use “Indoor Navigation” and if our guess is correct, most of us will be using Indoor navigation at some point of time.
