Juha, the man behind many PureView imaging advancements has revealed that Lumia 830‘s PureView camera comes with RAW (DNG) support, a trademark feature of PureView Lumia smartphones starting with Lumia 1020.
Now, with a small sensor-size of 1/3.4 inch, one should not expect Lumia 830 to come close to Lumia 1520, Lumia 930 or the Lumia 1020 in terms of RAW image quality, but if the images responds well to the post processing, then Lumia 830 may appeal to imaging enthusiasts.
Juha also recalls, how big a challenge it was to plonk OIS and get high-quality imaging from the slimmest PureView sensor.
Of course, simply slipping a 10-megapixel PureView camera with ZEISS optics into our slimmest (8.5 mm thin) and lightest (150 grams) phone to date was no easy task, explains Juha.
“Developing the amazing quality in such a thin package requires the absolutely best technologies and innovations. We have used new mechanics technology, new kind of optics design and lens materials, as well as new kind of actuators (motors) to make this happen.
Lumia 830 comes loaded with advanced imaging algorithms and great features of Lumia Camera all thanks to Lumia Denim update. Read more about Lumia Denim update and Lumia Camera features here.
