nokia music splashNokia recently announced the introduction of Nokia Mix Radio to Nokia Asha phones (full touch only) which is now integrated into the traditional Nokia Music client. You’d already know that an Unlimited Nokia Music subscription (which is quite cheap indeed) lets you download and listen Millions of songs in various languages and genres. Surprisingly Nokia Mix Radio was only announced for Russia, but is definitely available in other regions as well, Indian being one of them.

Just as the offering on Nokia Lumia, Nokia Mix Radio lets you listen various mixes which are all categorized according to your choice. No matter what type of songs you like, you’ll surely find a mix dedicated to you. There are various mixes available ranging from Bollywood, Devotional, and Classic or else region wise including Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi and others. Besides the Indian mixes, there are mixes available from the rest of the world as well, such as English RAP/Hip-Hop, Rock, POP and Classical as well.

What else? You can also download any track of your choice (or all the tracks from that particular Album Art) from the Mixes you’re listening to. Overall, Nokia Music with Mix Radio is your one-stop music download and playback service and you shouldn’t need anything else.

Need a mix dedicated to your favorite music artist? Well you get that as well. Just tap on Artist Mix, enter the name of your favorite artist and enjoy the mixes of songs only from that particular Singer/Musician.

Finally, Nokia Music with Mix Radio also allows you to play the mixes offline. So you can easily download the mixes offline to your phone and listen to them later when you’re no longer connected to the internet. To download a mix, just tap on options while playing a mix and select make available offline.
You can regularly refresh offline mixes to get any new addition made available to you as well.

Some awesome features of Nokia Mix Radio

  • Many mixes to choose from covering both Indian as well as International hits.
  • Ability to instantly download your favorite track from a particular mix.
  • Option to skip 6 tracks per hour while playing a mix. Much better than no skipping.
  • View Album Artist and other details about the song being played.
  • Availability of downloading and playing mixes offline.
  • Ability to listen to mixes from only a particular artist.

Nokia Music is really awesome and for a monthly subscription costing just around INR 100, it’s really a decent option to acquire good quality tracks legally and listen to them wherever you want. Nokia Music was already so great, but addition of Mix Radio has really added more stars to it.
