We yesterday reported about the Nokia Mobile Phone with GAFP OS heading to India. Now, more details have leaked about the Nokia mobile phone that can be Nokia 400 4G including processor details, specs and and image of the GAFP launcher.
It seems Nokia 400 4G will be powered by Unisoc SC9820e processor. It will pack 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Coming to the GAFP launcher, here is your first look at it, thanks to Hikari Calyx, who posted it on Twitter.
One can notice Google apps like YouTube, Chrome and perhaps Google camera shown prominently. Google assistant is also available on the top. So, this is how the Google Android will be imagined for a feature phone. Hikari has also revealed resolution of the display which is only 240 by 320.
Nokia Mobile has been working to bring phones powered by GAFP OS (Google Android for Feature Phones). While Nokia 400 4G appeared in various leaks in year 2020, Nokia Mobile didn’t launch it yet.
In year 2020, a Nokia product variant TA-1208 appeared as Nokia 400 4G in the Wi-Fi certification with the GAFP operating system. This TA-1208 variant had also appeared in Bluetooth and in BIS certification in India. So, an Indian connection to Nokia 400 4G seems already established.
The Bluetooth certification revealed the Bluetooth 4.2 specs, LTE support and also the fact that it is powered by a Unisoc processor. Just to refresh your memories this GAFP OS had already appeared in a leaked video running on a Nokia feature phone. While HMD Global has launched many smart feature phones with KaiOS already, it also considers GAFP OS as a viable option it seems.
This new report may hint at Nokia 400 4G finally making its way to Indian market as an operator-exclusive smart feature phone. So, question arises whether we will see it getting launched along with Nokia C20, Nokia X10, Nokia X20, Nokia G20 and Nokia G10 on April 8. A page is already up with teaser about the launch event on official Nokia site and HMD has also sent the press invites recently.
