The internal beta of WhatsApp for Windows Phone was updated today pushing the version number to 2.12.20. One major implementation in this update is the introduction of Audio/MP3 sharing on Windows Phone. As soon as the version gets out of beta, Windows Phone users will be able to send Songs and MP3 files to their friends and family members over WhatsApp.
Other than that, there are many neat improvements including the ability to share photos in bulk directly from the picture gallery. The option to attach Photo/Video files from storage is also nicely merged and called ‘Album’. The font and icon used for the push notifications also seems improved.
I’m trying to notice the other changes and if I come across one, I’ll update the post. The features generally don’t stay in Beta for long. So, hopefully normal users will be getting it pretty soon.
