IDC’s survey of top 10 smartphone purchase drivers throws some interesting stats out. One of them is the fact that Windows Phone buyers are more likely to buy or are more loyal to Windows Phone than iOS and Android buyers are to their OS of their choice. So, while 40% of Windows Phone buyers buy the phone because it is a Windows Phone device, only 32% do so for iOS and only 37% do so for Android. This is encouraging trend and shows the small but staunch fan / buyers following Windows Phone has come to enjoy lately.
Battery life, ease of use and OS constitute top 3 drivers for a smartphone purchase with web browsing speed coming at no. 10.
