Next-Gen Performance: Kirin 9050 Pro SoC
Under the hood, both the Mate 90 Pro Max and Mate 90 RS Ultimate are powered by the all-new Kirin 9050 Pro chipset paired with 16GB of RAM. Built using advanced 3D vertical circuit stacking (“LogicFolding” architecture), the chip delivers substantial jumps in processing speed, NPU efficiency, and thermal management.
To support heavy computing tasks, the device operates out of the box on HarmonyOS 7, which brings deeper AI workflow integration and system-wide speed optimizations.
Camera Revolution: 200MP Zoom & XMAGE Z10 Lens
Huawei continues to push boundaries in mobile imaging. The primary camera array on the Mate 90 Pro Max includes:
50MP Main Sensor (SC595XS, 1/1.28-inch): Features hardware-level LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) for Ultra High Dynamic Range and physically adaptable variable aperture.
200MP Periscope Telephoto (SCC85XS, 1/1.28-inch): Provides ultra-detailed optical and loss-less hybrid zoom capability.
3rd-Gen Red Maple Multispectral Lens: Enhances color accuracy, white balance calibration, and realistic skin tone reproduction under tough lighting.
XMAGE Z10 External Optical Zoom
One of the most talked-about additions is support for the XMAGE Z10 external lens system. This detachable module docks over the camera ring, enabling an extraordinary 10x native optical zoom without sacrificing pixel density or thin phone proportions.
Tandem Dual-Layer OLED Display: 10,000 Nits Brightness
The front of the Mate 90 Pro Max features a Tandem Dual-Layer OLED display. Stacking two light-emitting layers dramatically boosts both panel longevity and peak efficiency.
The screen pushes an incredible 10,000-nit peak brightness level, ensuring absolute clarity under direct sunlight, alongside a 144Hz high-refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming.
Massive 6,800mAh Battery & 100W Fast Charging
To power the bright display and Kirin processor, Huawei packed a 6,800mAh silicon-carbon battery into the chassis. Paired with 100W wired SuperCharge support (alongside high-speed wireless charging), users can refuel this massive battery capacity in under 40 minutes.
