People like to use Wi-Fi calling as a lower-cost/free calling option as compared to the default network calling option. But may times the connectivity becomes a big issue and cause bad call quality. So, learn how to enable and disable Wi-Fi calling on your smartphones.

How to enable, use & disable Wi-Fi calling on smartphones
- Enable Wi-Fi Calling
Go to Settings–>Network & Internet–>Mobile network–>Advanced–>Wi-Fi Calling and toggle it on.
This enables the Wi-Fi calling on your smartphone. This option will be available when your network provider supports it and your phone manufacturer has enabled it. You may need to update your phone software if both network provider and manufacturer have enabled it and you still don’t see it.
Many Nokia smartphones support Wi-Fi calling in India after recent software updates enabled it. - Use Wi-Fi calling
You need to prioritize Wi-Fi calling over Mobile network calling in settings if you want to use it by default. For this you need to have a Wi-Fi in range and connected to it. You can also set the priority of Wi-Fi calling while roaming.
Go to Settings–>Network & Internet–>Mobile network–>Advanced–>Wi-Fi Calling–>Calling preference/Roaming preference and prioritize “call over Wi-Fi”. - Disable or stop using Wi-Fi calling by default
You can prioritize Mobile network over Wi-Fi for calling by following the step 2, if your Wi-Fi calling has bad quality. This way mobile network is used by default for calling.
Go to Settings–>Network & Internet–>Mobile network–>Advanced–>Wi-Fi Calling–>Calling preference/Roaming preference and prioritize “call over mobile network”.
If you want to disable Wi-Fi calling completely, you can follow step 1 and toggle off Wi-Fi calling.
Go to Settings–>Network & Internet–>Mobile network–>Advanced–>Wi-Fi Calling and toggle it off.
