Group video calling is not a much-needed feature but it is one of such many of us need in our daily life. It now seems WhatsApp has listened to those users.
Now it seems the update is being rolled out to Android devices. Some of the users across the globe are getting this new feature in their WhatsApp. Thanks to Android Police Tipster Reuben, the update is available on his Android phone with app version 2.18.162. Although this update is not listed in the Google Play Store, you can still download the APK from APK Mirror link given below. I also tried running this APK version but was not able to get the group video calling in my phone.
How to use Group video call:
- Place a video call to someone in WhatsApp.
- When the call is going on, you get an option to add a person to that call at the right of the screen.
- By that button, you can add anyone of your contact to the call.
This feature is live for Audio as well as Video calls on Android. When you receive a Group video call from someone you’ll see the numbers/avatars of the different peoples in that Group call. With this kind of flexibility, it’s up to you to either join or ignore that coming video call. At present, the Group video call has a limitation of only 4 peoples which can be increased after a wider rollout.
