Google announced in February that Google Lens would arrive soon to all Android smartphones via a new update to the Google Photos app. Now the Google Photos app update is rolling out in phases bringing the Google Lens to all.
Rolling out today, Android users can try Google Lens to do things like create a contact from a business card or get more info about a famous landmark. To start, make sure you have the latest version of the Google Photos app for Android: https://t.co/KCChxQG6Qm

Google Lens makes your phone’s camera fetch more information about the picture that you capture. Nokia 8 users will be able to use camera-based Lens experience within the Google Assistant as announced by Google previously. This Google Lens within the Google Assistant feature will be available for more devices over time.
In the coming weeks, Lens will be available to all Google Photos English-language users who have the latest version of the app on Android and iOS. Also over the coming weeks, English-language users on compatible flagship devices will get the camera-based Lens experience within the Google Assistant. We’ll add support for more devices over time.
