What Nokia has done in its heydays as an innovation leader many companies are proudly following albeit with new names. Google has just introduced a new AR feature “Live View” for its Google Maps.
Live View allows one to navigate with an augmented reality view of surroundings with walking directions. Now, many Nokia fans who may have used the superior experience offered by HERE Maps on Lumia smartphones will be forced to recall the “LiveSight” AR feature.
LiveSight offered AR navigation experience on Lumia smartphones years ago. Though, it is good to see that Nokia Android smartphone users will be able to enjoy the experience now thanks to Google bringing Live View.

The Live View feature is available in only those places where Google street view is available. Google has however confirmed that the feature will be available for all users in a phased roll-out.
Hi there, in order for Live view to work, please make sure you are in an area with Street View coverage. Check out this article for Street View: https://t.co/FDd40CJfXI. Also, we are rolling out this feature in stages hence it will gradually become available to all users shortly.
