ComScore’s latest report for the month of November 2014 reveals that 178 million people in the U.S. owned smartphones (73.6 percent mobile market penetration) during the three months ending in November, which is up 2 percent since August 2014.
Windows Phone has 3.4% of smartphone installed base which is 0.1% less than October 2014 figure of 3.5%. Though with growth in smartphone installed base from October to November the Windows Phone share in absolute numbers may have remained same. Recent lack of support from Verizon and the carrier exclusives may be usual suspects here.
Android and iOS take the top two spots with Android growing by 0.6% and iOS declining by 0.2%.
