Ambit Microsystems, a subsidiary of Foxconn has procured 4G LTE equipment worth $178 million from Nokia Networks (NSN). Nokia has been placed in LTE Leader’s quadrant for third year in a row by Gartner and has more than 138 LTE commercial references already. As per the Telecompaper,
Ambit Microsystems has procured 4G base station equipment worth USD 178 million from Nokia Solutions and Networks, the Digitimes reports citing the Taiwanese company. This is the first round of equipment procurement to facilitate its 4G launch, Ambit said. It plans to kick off commercial 4G services in the first half of 2015, later than the other five licensees in Taiwan. Ambi is a subsidiary of Foxconn.
