Good news for Lumia and other WindowsPhone users residing in South Africa. Report says that Vodacom in South Africa will now provide Carrier Billing as a method of payment while purchasing Apps and Games from WP Store.
If you don’t have a Credit/Debit card or if you don’t want to use it online for any reason, you can now simple choose carrier billing as the payment method and the amount of App, Game or Music will be deducted from your Prepaid Balance (if you’re a prepaid user) or else added to your monthly bill (if you use a postpaid connection)
In many countries Nokia already offers Carrier Billing in as a payment method for purchasing apps from the Ovi Store, but that’s for the S40 and Asha phones. Enabling carrier billing for WP store shouldn’t be tough for Nokia and Microsoft as Nokia already has strong relations with these carriers.
