This one comes from evleaks, so we may be having a first look at soft on-screen touch-buttons of Windows Phone Blue aka Windows Phone 8.1, the update which is rumored to come with many new features.

Do you think Microsoft is taking a step in right direction by removing capacitive hardware touch buttons and replacing with them touch screen buttons? One advantage which I can see is reduced bezel size at the bottom of the smartphone.

  • I feel myself uncomfortable when pressing it causes device shake.

  • There’s no another way. When I purchased Lumia 920 I thought that camera button will be useful. But somehow I’ve found myself not using it at all. First time I was enthusiastic user of capacitive navigation block but using Uc browser ‘s swipe to navigate through the loaded pages shows me that’s more easier. So I wait from Microsoft those changes and not only touch buttons but with hiding them and pulling out when I need them.

While I beg to disagree about camera button (N8 and 808 made me camera button addict), I ain’t too big a supporter of capacitive buttons. Not only they makes bezel bigger they are not always convenient imo.
