Just days back, we brought to you leaked screenshots of Windows 8.1 update 1. The screenshots revealed “boot to desktop” and minimize and close options for metro apps on desktop.
Now a build WINDOWS 9600.16596.WINBLUES14_GDR_LEAN.140114-0237 of Windows 8.1 update 1 has been leaked on the web and screenshots have been posted in various forums. The changes look targeted to enhance the experience of mouse and keyboard users. The screenshot confirms ability to minimize, close metro apps and snap apps side-by-side with the help of the black bar on the top of the apps. Apart from that, one can now right-click on any of the live tiles on the start screen to bring up context-sensitive menu with ability to resize, unpin and more.
