Unicode Consortium calls it a wrap as they are now done with the development of Emoji 12.0. Unicode has revealed the final list of Emojis and they are all set for March 5 release. This update packs some interesting additions such as Hindu Temple, Sari, Diya Lamp and more.
Going by the official figure, Unicode added a total of 230 Emojis but the diversification has been the focus of this update and hence there are merely 59 Emojis that you will find new, rest are small tweaks to the existing ones.
Here are some highlights of the Emojis:
- Yawning Face
- Sari
- Hindu Temple
- Yo-Yo
- Diya Lamp
- Mechanical Arm
- Sloth
- Ice Cube
- Beverage Box
- Auto Rickshaw
- Diving Mask
- Kites
- Shorts
- Axe
- Drop of Blood
Manufacturers and messaging platforms are expected to build their versions of this new Emojis, starting today. And we are pretty sure that Google with Android Q will soon be rolling out their version of Diya Lamp and Auto Rickshaw.
