  • All I want to know is if these on-screen buttons can be taken over by the apps or now? If they can be, will it require all apps to be recoded in the newer resolution?
If they can’t be taken over, all it will do is make playing games harder than adding any value anywhere.

Common sense says yes. the on-screen buttons will disappear while playing games. But not sure that they will disappear for apps.

      • I guess they won’t, unless all of the games are developed so that there are proper exit buttons. Also, completely hiding them doesn’t seems fit as then there won’t be a way to minimize game for a while so as to do something else; say send a text. And if they were just to be hidden without letting the apps use that screen estate, why have them over physical buttons?
Was having a discussion with some buys and the recommendation was to make them work like charms bar of Windows 8.1. Swipe up to bring them.
