Samsung’s upcoming One UI 9 beta development for the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup is gaining momentum. A new internal beta firmware build has now been spotted, hinting that Samsung is actively testing fresh updates ahead of a wider rollout.

The latest firmware has moved from the earlier ZZEN build to a newer ZZEP version:

  • S942BXXU2ZZEP
  • S942BOXM2ZZEP
  • S942BXXU2BZEP

The jump from ZZEN to ZZEP usually indicates ongoing beta refinement and bug-fix testing as Samsung prepares newer One UI 9 beta packages for eligible Galaxy S26 devices.

Samsung officially introduced the One UI 9 beta program earlier this month for the Galaxy S26 series. Built on Android 17, the update focuses on AI-powered features, accessibility upgrades, personalization improvements, and enhanced device security.

What’s New in One UI 9?

Samsung says One UI 9 introduces several major improvements, including:

  • Redesigned Quick Panel customization
  • Better AI-assisted creative tools
  • Enhanced Samsung Notes features
  • Improved accessibility options
  • Stronger protection against suspicious apps

The beta program is currently available in select regions including India, the US, Korea, Germany, Poland, and the UK.

New ZZEP Build Suggests Faster Development

The appearance of the new ZZEP firmware strongly suggests Samsung is progressing rapidly through internal beta testing. Firmware jumps like this often arrive before:

  • New beta releases
  • Stability improvements
  • Bug fixes
  • Performance optimizations
  • Wider regional expansion

Earlier reports also revealed initial One UI 9 test builds for Galaxy S26 models, confirming Samsung’s active Android 17 development cycle.

Expected One UI 9 Features

Samsung is expected to further improve:

  • Galaxy AI experiences
  • Cross-device integration
  • Battery optimization
  • System animations
  • Productivity tools
  • Security protections

The stable One UI 9 rollout is likely to begin later in 2026 after multiple beta phases.

For now, Galaxy S26 users enrolled in the beta program should keep an eye on the Samsung Members app for upcoming OTA updates.
