Nokia spokeswoman Karen Lachtanski confirmed that recent stock outs at AT&T were due to the strong demand of Lumia 900, also confirming that not many Lumia 900 owners have opted to swap their device and rather updated it through Zune for getting rid of the data connectivity issues . She also says that Nokia is producing the device as fast as possible to met the excessive demand.

This is what she told AllThingsD.
“So the impact of customer swaps is insignificant. We are producing more devices to satisfy demand as quickly as possible.”“The inventory situation is primarily a function of demand because we are seeing that most customers are opting to keep their units and simply update via Zune,”
