Samsung has surprised Galaxy users by rolling out One UI 9 Beta 6 ahead of schedule for the flagship Galaxy S26 series. Coming in as build version ZZHC (with firmware numbers ending in ZZHE), this update lands as an 851.54 MB over-the-air (OTA) download.
Built on top of Android 17, the update includes the August 5, 2026 security patch. As previously detailed in update coverage over on NokiaPowerUser, Samsung’s rapid beta release cadence signals that the final, stable public release is right around the corner.
The 4 Major Upgrades in Beta 6
Rather than introducing massive design shifts, Beta 6 focuses on fixing lingering visual bugs and restoring camera accuracy.
1. Now Brief Widget Rendering Fix
Resolves persistent display errors that caused the Now Brief widget to freeze, misalign, or fail to refresh live information properly on the home screen.
2. Home Screen Interface Stability
Eliminates visual glitches across the primary home screen grid, ensuring smoother icon transitions and fixing app layout stuttering.
3. Camera Widget Crash Resolution
Fixes an issue where launching or customizing the home screen camera widget along specific navigation paths resulted in display errors or app crashes.
4. Expert RAW 24MP Calibration Fix
Solves a critical camera bug where photos were saved with inconsistent processing across specific focal lengths when shooting in 24MP mode using the Expert RAW app.
