The official Twitter app for Windows Phone is now making use of Microsoft’s Bing Translator to automatically provide you with a translated version if the written tweet is not in English.
This is another win for Windows Phone as its becomes the first platform to enjoy the automatic translation service offered by Twitter. The functionality will undoubtedly extend to the Twitter apps available on other platforms in the near time, but Windows Phone is the only one for now.
Engadget also notes that the Bing Platform for Developers which was launched yesterday might be used by the application as its backend. This will further add to the scope of improvements in the translation service.
