In last few days, NSN has very well demoed why it is considered to have the industry leading capability in areas of LTE and Telco cloud.

It has demonstrated its telco cloud capabilities in a joint proof-of-concept for Evolved Packet Core (EPC) virtualization with SK Telecom, the leading operator in Korea and this is the first ever testing of its kind. NSN has become the only network company to be able to successfully demonstrate a complete EPC solution.

Demonstrate tangible benefits of telco cloud ahead of commercial deployment.Nokia Solutions and Networks has demonstrated its telco cloud capabilities in a joint proof-of-concept for Evolved Packet Core (EPC) virtualization with SK Telecom, the leading operator in Korea. This Networks Functions Virtualization (NFV) project showed successful results for capacity scaling for both throughput and signaling traffic in connection with smartphone usage patterns.

In another news, NSN has unveiled industry’s highest capacity 8-pipe radio module, supporting up to 120 MHz of channel bandwidth. This TD-LTE 8-pipe radio module is for Band 41 spectrum.

The new base station component will enable operators to use the 2.6 GHz LTE TDD spectrum band to meet booming demand for mobile broadband. Supporting up to 120 MHz of channel bandwidth, this is the industry’s highest capacity 8-pipe radio module. It delivers twice as much transmission power output than previous versions, substantially improving the user experience, particularly at the edge of a cell’s coverage.

Thanks Pulkit and Patrik for the Tip. Cheers!!
