NSN seals its second deal in Middle east from Korek telecom in southern Iraq.

Yet another win for NSN in Middle east. It has now won a network expansion contract from Korek telecom in southern Iraq. This is the second Middle East contract for NSN, after the contract from Saudi’s 2nd top operator Etihad Etisalat, or Mobily.

This is significant win considering NSN has been late to enter the Middle east market and this win will bolster its position against “Ericsson” in this part of world. According to the report,

As Per the agreement, NSN will supply Korek Telecom with its Core and Radio Access Network (RAN) product along with providing care and managed services. However, the amount and the period of the contract were not disclosed.
