NSN has introduced smartphone and applications benchmarking services via its “Smart Labs online” tool. This services provides analysis of smartphone’s behavior on networks, which can be used for gaining insights into stuff like battery life and other application’s data usage on network.
It’s a convenient way to quickly benchmark performance of LTE and 3G across different smartphones and/or mobile operating systems (OS) for example. Various performance parameters are covered – radio and core network signaling loads, data sessions and volumes, and device battery consumption.

In another important news, NSN has announced plans to establish a Mobile Broadband Security Center in Berlin. NSN has a great track record of more than 500 telco security projects implementation across the globe. It has also announced a product called “Mobile Guard” in collaboration with F-Secure.
Nokia Solutions and Networks has announced plans to establish a Mobile Broadband Security Center in Berlin. The goal of this initiative is to create a platform for knowledge exchange on mobile broadband-related telco security research with customers, business and research partners, and public authorities. The Mobile Broadband Security Center will be fully operational in the second half of 2014.
