Asha 501 has already gone on pre-order in India couple of days back. Now, after Lumia 925, Nokia has also announced Asha 501’s global roll-out announcement on its Nokia Conversations blog. According to the info given in article,
Asha 501 goes on sale this week in Thailand and Pakistan, with India sales soon to follow. Next week, the rollout will continue in India and progress onto countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific. In late summer, the Nokia Asha 501 will start selling in Latin American countries like Brazil.
The phone is available in six striking colours: cyan, bright red, yellow, bright green, black and white. It retails for approximately $99 before local taxes and subsidies.
Nokia has also released a cool infographic showing “Asha momentum” around the world.
Highlights are 132 markets covered, 20+ million devices sold and 9 million daily app downloads.
We all know how much important Asha devices’ success is for Nokia. It makes one part of their two-pronged Lumia-Asha strategy. Hope, the supplies of Asha 501 are consistent and Nokia also brings Asha 210 soon enough, which has been announced before Asha 501 and yet not available.
