Introduction

One of the blessings in disguise with the many partnership that Nokia has is the availability of more options for everyone. For example, we could all agree that Nokia branded accessories especially those made by HMD Global has sporadic presence in certain market. This is where Rich Go fills in the gap with their Nokia branded accessories. And in my reviews, these products are the actual bang for buck purchases that I have no regret. They look premium, feel premium, offer more than their competition and more importantly, priced affordably.

Products such as Nokia E3511 ANC, Nokia P3600, the P3802A and even the most recently reviewed E3110 are all great earbuds that it is an easy decision to recommend them. So, naturally, the recently announced Nokia Essential Wireless Earphones E1502 caught my attention. This is the review of the Nokia E1502, which is can sum up as beauty with brains.

Nokia E1502

The retail packaging of the E1502 is a simple standard affair. Nothing fancy like the P3600 with its metal case, which is a good thing as to cut cost where its least important. The E1502 comes in black, grey, green and even pink! I had to choose the green as it really looks different and unique, more on this later. Inside the box, slide the plastic tray and your greeted by the Nokia E1502 along with a user manual, USB-C charging cable and additional silicone tips in various sizes.

The Bluetooth earphone is simply amazing. Its design while minimalistic, looks and feels premium. The green colors feels fresh and different to the many different earphones out there. Rich Go paid attention to the material used. The cords  feel light and comfortable, and each buds has a beautiful metallic head which can be magnetically connected so you can actually have them placed securely around your neck if you are not using them. The lightweight construct allows for a long and comfortable listening experience. The earbuds themselves houses a 10mm dynamic driver which is above  average these days and a rarity at this price point.

The latest Bluetooth 5.3 improves in latency period and quality of connection while improving on battery life which is all good! The built is 120mAh battery allows up to 14 hours of listening time and takes about an hour to charge. The IPX4 rating means this is an all weather device suitable for work and play. The secure fit of the earbud thanks to the ergonomic U shape ear hook design ensures no interruption with your routine activities. The three button control is as precise as it can be, and gives a good tactile feedback.

So , what is great with this device and why you should you even consider to buy one? Well, for one , it costs USD 13 with shipping. It even has a USB-C charging port! But most importantly is that the 10mm driver along with the Bluetooth 5.3 certainly alleviate the listening experience. One thing I notices immediately is the clarity of the audio playback is exceptional. It does not distort or break at loud noises, audio is clear and there are enough distinctions in the depth. I would advice to try out the different silicone tip sizes and use one that fits your ear canal adequately as this would allow for ambient noise reduction passively.
