Nokia has signed an agreement with Avanade (a global technology solutions firm and managed services provider) to create and deliver packaged Nokia Lumia devices, applications and services to large enterprise customers. The packaged delivery offerings will combine Avanade’s application development and system integration services, Microsoft technology and Nokia’s Lumia products and related services. Not only this, together with Accenture, Avanade and Nokia are also providing enterprise customers with Windows Phone and Microsoft infrastructure expertise to support the pilot adoption and testing of Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices through to production deployments.
It seems Nokia and Avanade are already working with a large UK bank to replace its current mobile device platform with Windows Phone 8, integrated with its Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint environments.
This is great news for not only Nokia as it will allow to place large number of Lumia devices with every new Enterprise customer, but it will certainly benefit Microsoft and whole WP ecosystem for Enterprises. Great to see, Nokia again playing a lead role here !!
